Global Mentor Corps
University students serve as mentors for younger participants, coordinating community-based projects and maintaining program standards.

Program Details
University students from environmental science, education, and public policy backgrounds volunteer as trained mentors, guiding youth teams through every stage of their projects.
Each mentor completes a short certification in environmental education, youth engagement, and cross-cultural communication. Training emphasizes how to connect local experiences to global issues such as rising sea levels, waste management, and sustainable development.
Mentors help young participants design achievable goals, collect and verify environmental data, and reflect on their community work through guided discussions. They ensure projects meet HAH’s standards for safety, inclusivity, and measurable outcomes.
Through this program, mentors gain leadership and teaching experience while helping younger students develop the confidence and awareness needed to engage in global problem-solving. Many continue in the network as regional coordinators or ambassadors after graduation.
